I wrote a story based on Star Trek: the Next Generation for a contest a couple years back. I didn’t win the contest, and there aren’t other markets for it, so here’s the story.

Over the holiday of Shavuot, I gave a talk discussing the 10 Commandments, or Aseret ha-Dibrot. One of the topics I discussed was the meaning of the term Aseret ha-Dibrot.

Those thoughts became this new article published today at The Lehrhaus, which builds on existing scholarship (particularly an article by Professor Meir Gruber) to create a literary picture of the Aseret ha-Dibrot:

It’s about a boy and his dad–and how a time machine affects their relationship.

I had the idea for the story several years ago, but it took me a long time to get around to writing it. I’m so pleased that I was able to sell it to Clarkesworld.

I finally decided to create a website. I’ve thought about blogging for years, but never actually got around to it. I recently sold a short story, and as I was writing a bio, I thought it would be nice to have a link to a website.

I doubt I will blog regularly, but I will update my publications and add lecture source sheets from time to time.

Please take a look around. I think you will find that this site reflects my rather eclectic set of interests.
